We sold 344 head for our sale on June 23rd. Markets remained very active on quality feeder cattle, with demand continuing to favor reputation yearling cattle. A highlight of the day was two outstanding loads of black heifers, with 61 head averaging 836 pounds bringing $342.25/cwt and 59 head averaging 894 pounds bringing $334.10/cwt. Feeder steers also traded on a very strong market, led by 743-pound steers at $412.00/cwt and 943-pound steers at $350.50/cwt. Lightweight calves sold on limited numbers with excellent demand for quality offerings. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady.
