Flint Hills Stockyards sold 754 head Tuesday, with the offering again highlighted by reputation yearling steers. Large drafts of 900- to 1,000-pound steers made up much of the run, including 120 steers averaging 958 pounds at $336.75/cwt and 108 steers averaging 948 pounds at $332.00/cwt. Demand remained strong on 800-weight cattle, with 64 black steers averaging 865 pounds bringing $358.25/cwt and 61 black steers averaging 868 pounds at $357.25/cwt. Lighter cattle were active as well, including 17 steers averaging 665 pounds at $388.00/cwt and 18 steers averaging 761 pounds at $365.50/cwt.
